Upper Swabia is my native region. Thinking to change my view of a landscape that I see on a daily basis, I tried the following two techniques: 1. Shoot in black and white and 2. Make the photograph more dramatic by darkening the sky through the use an orange filter for the upper part of the image.
The gradations of the filter-enhanced dark sky are memorable. The overall contrast is good, and we can feel the strong, clear rays of the sun. The simple framing and composition are also good.(Judge:Ryo Ohwada)
