First of all my eye was grabbed by the colors and forms. Then as I slowly focused on the details, I realized that these are cherry blossom petals. There are probably a number of layers piled up. Floating up among the dark tones, the translucent colors of the cherry blossom petals are beautiful. Although they are pale and delicate, we can observe each individual petal. I think that the image is also enhanced by the way that the composition utilizes space.(Judge:Ryo Ohwada)
