There was a sudden major snowstorm in February of this year. Grabbing my just-purchased CX2, I went out on the veranda to take some flash-illuminated shots with the "high contrast black & white" scene mode setting. The result was an atmosphere like that in a foreign movie.
A night snowscape captured in high-contrast monochrome. Illuminated by the flash or the interior light, the sparkling flakes of snow seem to dance. Looking at this image we can identify with the feelings of the photographer who turned the camera lens to this scene.(Judge:Ryo Ohwada)
