Penguin?Photographer : Rei Nakamura Camera used : GR DIGITAL II
After agonizing all the way to the deadline, I finally chose this image since the theme is "new angle, new day." This photograph was displayed in the GR Blog "animal" category. I was totally absorbed in macro shooting with my GRDII when I happened to notice the jelly that I had been eating. Thinking that the surface texture had a very nice feel to it, I took some shots. One of them was this mysterious image in which the jelly's shape and texture make it look just like a penguin. With just a little ingenuity and a slight change of angle, I was able to get a peek into a wonderfully strange world.
In this image the depiction of the fluid surface texture has a wonderful feel to it. We can also find fun in the way that the perspective creates the appearance of a penguin. The simple coloration of the background also has a fine feel to it.(Judge:Ryo Ohwada)
