I chose the photograph that had my heart pounding hardest when I took it. My heart was pounding both during the shooting and when I looked back many times afterwards. The reason was probably that the cats' gaze was very strong, it was night, and it seemed that I was viewed as being a cat myself. So rather then "my view," it is the "cat's view" that is the "new angle" here.
Even from a ways away, we can feel the direct gaze looking in our direction. Although they are small, the cats have a large and bold presence. I think that it was good to place the star players (cats) in the center of the image and shoot them straight on.(Judge:Kazuyuki Okajima)
