This is a picture of a first attempt at kite flying. I think the angle is such that it could only be taken with a compact camera.
Propelled by the wind, the kite dances high in the sky. The contrast with the nearness of the young girl makes it easier to feel the distance of the kite. While she may be satisfied with this first try, there is some uncertainty remaining in her expression. Perhaps the drag is so strong that she fears she might be pulled into the sky.(Judge:Kazuyuki Okajima)
