Successfully using a sweet potato as bait, with my Ricoh cable release I waited in ambush for the mejiro (Japanese white-eye) that always visits the garden in winter, and took the picture using the macro setting. I am delighted by the way that, startled by the faint shutter sound, he (she?) looks up with the expression of a child caught stealing candy. |

This is a fine example of the kind of pictures possible with a Ricoh compact because it has a cable release and wide-angle macro. I would think that the camera itself is somehow happy because the photographer has made such good use of its functions. The somewhat perplexed expression of the mejiro (Japanese white-eye) is also wonderful. (Judge:Kazuo UNNO) |
