Sherbrooke Forest MelbournePhotographer : Barbara Oehring Camera used : Caplio GX8
I went for a winter morning walk in Sherbrooke Forest. The tall Mountain Ash trees and Tree Ferns are magnificent. I captured a lone person just before the bend in the path.
This has the feel of a primeval forest. There is no wind and the trees block the rays of the sun and the surrounding sounds so it feels as if this space is surrounded only with silence. It seems like the only sound to be heard would be the footsteps of the person ahead. I would like to stroll leisurely behind him.(Judge:Kazuyuki Okajima)
This is a superb portrayal of a forest path painted in pale colors. The high resolution results in a sharp image showing the fine details of leaves and branches. The person as well as the forest details are very precisely photographed.(Judge:Ryo Ohwada)
