The neighborhood association served nagashi somen, cold noodles that flow along in a trough from which you pick them up with chopsticks. Shown are the bamboo trough that we all made, the noodle dipping cups, and the chopsticks…and then there are the children who, with the wonderful expressions on their faces, gave to the adults the gift of a brief interlude of happiness on that day. |
