When we traveled to my wife's family home during the Obon holiday, I grabbed this shot when I came across her mother taking a nap in a posture that made me want to shout "Nice pose, Grandma!" The camera used was a GR DIGITAL II and the shutter sound was set on, so I was nervous that she would wake up when I took the picture. |

Years ago I heard that it is supposed to be healthy to sleep with your feet raised a bit, but raising them this far seems to me to be not so good for health. If grandma likes the position, everyone will just have to accept it. Still, maybe that winter futon mat is just folded up there because grandma was too lazy to put it away. (Judge:MASASHI ASADA) |
