• *b1) In normal shooting mode, the camera takes a picture with optimal settings according to a situation.
• *b2) CX5 - Multi-trgt AF: Camera automatically determines multiple focus positions and takes consecutive pictures at one shutter release(5 frames at once). These multiple frames are recorded as a single MP file.

• *b3) Pre-AF: The camera will do preliminaries on focus, corresponding with changes on the subject, even if you will not yet press the shutter release half way.

• *b4) Subject Tracking AF: The camera will track the subject while the shutter release button is pressed halfway. You can take a picture in focus by pressing the shutter release button all the way.

• *b6) Camera automatically selects the optimal white balance according to the conditions of sun and shade or the flash illumination range.

• *b7) With the RICOH PX, [Black & White] and [Sepia] are available in the Premium shot modes.
• *b8) fps stands for frame per second.
• *b9) Camera takes multiple pictures continuously while you are pressing a shutter release button. The maximum number of images that can be shot in continuous mode is 999.

• *b10) M-Cont (Memory reversal continuous) : The camera takes pictures while the shutter release button is pressed, but only the last 16 frames (about 2 seconds) are recorded into a single JPEG file.
• *b11) M-Cont Plus (ex. [10M]) : The camera takes pictures while the shutter release button is pressed, but only the last 15 frames at the maximum (about 3 seconds at minimum) are recorded into a single MP file.
• *b12) [Group portrait] : If this option is selected, the camera will take two pictures at 5 seconds interval. The self-timer lamp will blink for 2 seconds immediately before each shot. Focus is fixed at the position selected for the first shot.
• *b13) The option for the red-eye reduction is located in the Shooting setting menu.
• *b14) It will perform noise reduction when taking a still image. With the RICOH PX, noise reduction always works and no option is available.

[Playback features of camera]

• *c1) If [On] is selected for [Privacy Settings], the images selected for [Hide Images] will not be displayed in playback.

• *c2) You can rate pictures with star(s) from one ; ★ to three ; ★★★ for your favorite pictures. Pressing the Favorites button during playback will display the pictures with rating. The rating can be set up to 9999 pictures.

• *c3) You can set useful images to Flag function. This will allow the Fn button to display an assigned image quickly.

[Other features of camera]

• *d1) After the elapse of time set, the picture display shows 'sleeping...' message and turns into sleep mode. Selectable options are 10 sec., 1 min., 3 min. With Sleep mode is set, [LCD Auto Dim] option is not available.
• *d2) It is X2 series of SD cards from Eye-Fi that have been confirmed to work.

• *d3) With each rechargeable battery. Number of pictures measured using CIPA standard parameters. Actual performance may vary according to usage conditions.
• *d4) The RICOH PX can be used for underwater photography up to 3 meters depths, up to 60 minutes.

[PC connections]

When you connect the camera to a computer:

• • Only the USB connection is available. Serial connection is not supported.
• • It is required a computer that is pre-installed with a supported OS version in the following chart, and that has a USB port as standard.
• • For downloading pictures to a computer, supplied software is for Windows only. For Macintosh, no software from Ricoh is required to download pictures. See the FAQ here for the details.
• • The following is the mass storage compatibility chart for each operating system.

[Supplied software]

Supplied software and information is stored in the internal memory in the camera. There is no CD-ROM disc in the package. Chart below shows the compatibility on the supplied software for the RICOH PX.
