Ricoh was a pioneer in bringing wide-angle photography to the Caplio series. Our newest Caplio features a wide-angle 28mm view, expanding your perspective far beyond that of common 35mm digital cameras. So you can capture more even when you have less room to work with.

Images captured from a wide-angle lens are expansive, requiring the CCD to handle greater amounts of information. To process the information rapidly, the Caplio R1V incorporates Ricoh's Smooth Imaging Engine image processing system, which features 12-bit image processing and filtering processing to produce images with natural gradation and very low noise. Our color management software matches the CCD's spectral sensitivity, optimizing color reproduction. For natural images with true colors, the Caplio R1V simply is more advanced.

The energy-wise Caplio R1V takes around 490 pictures on a rechargeable
battery.
