The super telephoto zoom has a focal length equivalent to 84.5mm to 460mm in the 35mm film format. ED glass is used for the third and eighth lenses for eliminating chromatic aberration for the entire zoom range and correcting other aberration types. This lens can be used for a wide range of shooting from portraits to sports and landscapes and is characterized by a natural out-of-focus (bokeh) effect. When combined with the 18-55mm lens, you can perform a full range of shooting from super wide to super telephoto using just these two lenses. The lens front surface uses SP coating to protect from water and dirt.
