Live View shooting
Comfortable shooting with the LCD monitor.

For high angle and low angle shots where it is diŸcult to use the viewfinder, the LCD monitor and Live View can be used to shoot. AF modes such as Face Detection and Tracking, as well as Grid Display, and Focus Peaking can be used on the LCD monitor.

This model is compatible with the O-GPS1 clip-on type GPS unit (optional). With this accessory, you can use a number of convenient f unct ions such as recording shooting location information, using the SR unit to track celestial bodies (ASTROTRACER), and the Electronic Compass.

Face Detection Assist
Light helps in focusing for self portraits.

If the AF Mode is set to Face Detect ion Assist when shooting in Live View, the number of detected faces are indicated by the illuminated LED lights on the grip. (Max. 5 lights)

Movie shooting
Full HD stereo movies provide an enhanced experience.

Full HD movie recording is available. You can create impressive works of art by blurring the background, and applying Custom Image and Digital Filter effects. The camera is also equipped with a built-in stereo microphone. This makes it possible to record high-quality audio for an enhanced experience.

The main switch is illuminated in red when movie shooting is set.
