The sound of rain was born in a silent forest.
As it gradually grew louder, the sound enveloped the entire forest.
Before long, a mist slowly crept along, and in the blink of an eye, spread far and wide.

I search for light among forests.
Sometimes rain falls, and sometimes I forge a new trail along a steep path.
The feelings when discovering light belong to that moment and space in time, resulting in a photo that is truly one of a kind.
Later on, when recalling the scene and working on a photo, the quality changes from creating a photo to the best of one’s ability on the spot.
That is the very reason why I need a camera that can capture what I feel in a photo.
When shooting, it is vital to question how much work you can put into a photo, and how much you can pursue what you’re looking for.

PENTAX cameras are equipped with wonderful adjustment features such as Custom Image, which contains “Contrast (highlight and shadow ratio adjustment)”, and “High/Low Key Adj”, which compensates for noise while adjusting the median light levels.
Mastering these features vastly expands the possibilities of expression.
The camera body is robust enough to withstand various conditions in any field, and the optical viewfinder shows scenery right before your eyes without losing any of its luster, which is sure to inspire the imagination of people who like to keep an eye on the viewfinder.

A higher ISO sensitivity limit on the K-1 Mark II has improved photo quality compared to the previous ISO sensitivity range.
Because I generally shoot hand-held in dark forests, this technology has helped wipe away my worries and fears when shooting at high ISO sensitivities.

I mainly use two lenses, the smc PENTAX-FA 31mmF1.8AL Limited and the HD PENTAX-D FA70-200mmF2.8ED DC AW.
With these two, I walk through the forest, shooting as I please.

Although I have to be careful of water when using the 31mm lens, I fell in love with its amazing ability to capture light, its expression of depth, and its clarity.
My heart was filled with joy when I discovered it.
The 70-200mm lens also delivers the same clear, beautiful ability to capture light, making it a cherished item I’ll never let go of.
On top of this, the K-1 Mark II features improved AF speed that truly brings out the performance of these lenses.
A fast AF is an absolutely vital part of being able to capture moments of light and the look of the forest as it changes from moment to moment with the mist.
The AF has improved since the K-1, and I have experienced the freedom and joy from the ability to create better photos thanks to the K-1 Mark II.
Well, it’s time for me to take this camera deep into the woods, searching out the joy of photographing and the beauty of light.
