Digital Compact Camera: Optio V10

In its stylish, ultra-slim body measuring a mere 19mm in thickness, the Optio
V10 incorporates a 3.0-inch color LCD monitor — the largest in digital compact
cameras currently on the market. This monitor combines a wide-view design with
an IPS (In Plane Switching) format LCD to deliver a bright, clear monitor
image with true-to-life colors and edge-to-edge sharpness during shooting and
playback, even when viewing the image diagonally from a 170-degree angle both
vertically and horizontally.

The Optio V10’s Natural Skin shooting mode features the upgraded Face-Recognition AF & AE function to automatically detect the position of the subject’s face with great accuracy and optimize the focus and exposure levels to produce beautiful, lively faces with smooth, natural skin tones. This mode is especially useful when taking portraits and snapshots at a close range.

Two of the most common factors causing blurred images are camera shake and subject shake. The Optio V10’s Digital SR (Shake Reduction) system solves this problem for you by automatically raising the sensitivity up to ISO 3200 and setting a higher shutter speed under poor lighting conditions to effectively minimizes camera shake and subject shake. Thanks to this user-friendly system, you always are assured of beautiful, blur-free images, even under conditions highly prone to camera shake and subject shake, such as sunset and indoor scenes.
The Optio V10 is also equipped with the Movie SR (Shake Reduction) system. It effectively minimizes annoying camera shake in movie shooting, as you capture VGA-format movie clips (30 frames per second) at sizes up to 640 x 480 pixels. Coupled with the digital movie anti-shake function, this assures high-quality, blur-free movie clips in a wide variety of movie-shooting applications.
Auto-Tracking AF
to Maintain Constant Focus on Active Subjects for Timely
Shutter Releases
Once the subject is captured in focus, the Optio V10’s auto-tracking AF mode keeps it in crisp focus, even when it moves around in the image field. By eliminating the need for frequent refocusing, this lets you effortlessly capture the decisive moment, even when the subject is an active child or unpredictable pet.
