Digital Compact Camera: Optio E60

Since
the Optio E60 covers as wide an angle of view as 32mm (in the 35mm format),
you no longer have to step back to capture a wide structure or spectacular landscape
in a single frame. Its 3X optical zoom lens lets you easily capture large, exciting
images of distant subjects.

The Optio E60's Auto Picture mode features seven different shooting modes
to cover subjects and scenes you are likely to encounter on the road. As soon
as you press the shutter release button halfway down, the Optio E60 automatically
and instantly selects the most appropriate mode for a given subject or scene
to preserve it in beautiful, high-quality images.
Auto Picture mode:
(1) Program; (2) Portrait; (3) Landscape; (4) Night Scene; (5) Flower; (6) Sport;
(7) Night Scene Portrait

Since
the Optio E60 is powered by world-standard AA-size batteries, you can easily
obtain replacements almost anywhere in the world. With a fresh pair of lithium
batteries, you can capture as many as 620 images. Since its world-time clock
can be set to the local time, you can keep more accurate track of shooting records
even in an unfamiliar country.
* The numbers of recordable images were measured using testing conditions specified by the CIPA standards. These numbers may vary depending on shooting conditions.

With
a single push of the button,
you can activate the PENTAX-original Face-Recognition AF & AE function,
which is programmed to automatically capture the subject’s face in sharp
focus and perfect exposure. The Optio E60 also features the Half-length Portrait
mode, which automatically trims the image for beautiful, best-proportioned portraits.

When
the Optio E60 detects low-lighting conditions, its Digital SR (Shake Reduction)
system automatically raises the sensitivity level up to ISO 6400 for a faster
shutter speed. This lets you capture bright, crisp images, even in situations
susceptible to camera shake and subject shake — such as indoor and sunset scenes.
10.1 Effective Megapixels for High-Quality, Fine-Detailed Images
With approximately 10.1 effective megapixels, the Optio E60 reproduces subjects faithfully and brilliantly, including the delicate texture of skin and hair. By combining a 3X optical zoom lens with 5.7X digital zoom capability, you can also magnify your subject up to 17.1 times to capture fine-detailed images.
Compact, Fashionable Body with Sparkling Metallic Finish
The Optio E60 features an elegantly designed body accentuated with sparkling metallic trims, making it not only fun to shoot, but also a pleasure to carry to all occasions.
16-Frame Shooting and Printout for Close Look at Athletic Action
The
Optio E60 features a 16-frame shooting mode, which comes in handy in situations
such as checking your swing in golf, baseball or tennis. You can print all 16
images on a single sheet of paper. If you wish, you can file any one of them
separately as a still image.
When
connected to a PictBridge-compatible printer via the included USB/AV cable, the
Optio E60 offers convenient direct printing, eliminating the need to transfer
image data to your PC. This direct-printing convenience is available with any
PictBridge-compatible printer, regardless of make or model.

The Optio E60 is compatible with Exif Print and PRINT Image Matching III to produce beautiful printouts faithful to the camera data. It is also compatible with DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) to control the number of prints and date imprint information.
When
you like to share recorded images and movies with your family or friends, simply
connect the Optio E60 to a TV monitor via the included USB/AV cable. You can
play back memorable scenes and sounds on a larger screen for great fun.
When you want to share special memories with your friends or relatives, you can make copies of recorded images or movies on a DVD or videotape, simply by connecting the Optio E60 to a DVD recorder or video deck via the included USB/AV cable. Such copies also allow other people to watch the memorable scenes comfortably on a larger TV or projector screen.
Using
the included USB/AV cable, you can easily transfer images captured by the Optio
E60 to your PC, for use on a Web site or in a photo album.
