[Question] What is MY1, MY2 on the mode dial ?

Turning the mode dial to MY1 or MY2 changes the settings quickly to the group of the settings that was saved in advance.

[Assignment for MY1 or MY2]

If you set the camera with favorite settings, such as image size, flash mode, white balance, you can easily to assign these combinations of the settings to [MY1] or [MY2]. Go to [Setup] menu > [Reg. My Settings], then to choose [MY1] or [MY2].

[Taking a picture with the My setting]

In order to take a picture in my setting mode, turn the mode dial to [MY1] or [MY2].

  • [MY1] : to take a picture with the settings that was assigned with [MY1] in [Reg.My Settings]
  • [MY1] : to take a picturew with the settings that was assigned with [MY2] in [Reg.My Settings]

Press the shutter release button to take a picture.

  • * In a My setting mode, if you change some settings but you don't re-assign them, the last changes will not be saved and original MY1 or MY2 setting remains after you turn the mode dial or turn off a camera.
