[Question] About the [Subject Tracking AF] in the Focusing modes.

The camera will track the subject while the shutter release button is pressed halfway. You can take a picture in focus by pressing the shutter release button all the way.
It will be effective in photography for moving subject (like a pet, a kid), or in composing a frame in macro photograph.

This option is located; Shooting menu > Focus > Subject Tracking AF.

How to use

When pressing the shutter release button halfway, the camera will target the subject in the focus frame at the center of the picture display.

A green target icon will be displayed. The target icon will move with following the targeted subject. If the camera is unable to locate a subject to track, the frame at the center becomes red and blinking.

When you remove you finger from the shutter release button, or press the shutter release button all the way to take a picture, tracking ends automatically.
