When I photographed a model with the HD PENTAX-D FA★50mmF1.4 SDM AW, what first surprised me was the sharpness and clearness of the images it produced. Its newly developed ring-type ultrasonic wave motor SDM assured both high-speed autofocusing and quiet operations. It provided a definite advantage in fast-paced portrait photography, letting me flawlessly capture all the model’s expressions. Another noteworthy feature of this lens was its minimum focusing distance of 0.4 meters, which let me move in a step closer to the model and capture eye-catching close-up images.
