[Question] Tips on bokeh photography.
Here are general tips to take a picture with great bokeh in the background.
- 1 Capture the subject with zooming
- 2 Come as close to the subject as you can
- 3 Use Macro mode + zooming
1. Capture the subject with zooming
Turn the zoom lever to the tele side. The more telephoto, the more bokeh in the background. Note that zooming may cause camera shake. Hold the camera steady, and use the image stabilizer (if available).
Example for zooming
2. Come as close to the subject as you can
Moving toward the subject will make the focus position closer, and allow the background bokeh. If you get too close to the subject, it will be better using the macro mode.
Example for close to the subject
3. Use Macro mode + zooming
Set the macro mode, and determine the subject you want to capture, and then zoom to the tele side. The subject will standout with the great bokeh in the background.
