PENTAX RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. is pleased to announce the launch of the PENTAX Q Limited Silver. Available in a limited quantity of just 1,600 units worldwide, this special-edition model offers all the benefits of the recently introduced PENTAX Q lens-interchangeable digital Interchangeable lens system camera, including an ultra-compact, super-lightweight body.

Launched in August, 2011, the PENTAX Q has been extremely well-received by users who demand a compact digital Interchangeable lens system camera for casual, effortless digital photography. Developed in response to the request of many consumers, this limited-edition model is treated with an exclusive silver-color coating for the elegant look of a classical camera, while matching in color with high-performance Q-mount interchangeable lenses.

The PENTAX Q Limited Silver package includes the easy-to-handle PENTAX-02 STANDARD ZOOM lens that covers wide-angle to medium-telephoto focal lengths, while the camera’s firmware has been upgraded to the latest version (Ver.1.01) to assure improved resolution at the Fine Sharpness setting.

Note: The specifications of the camera body are same as those of the PENTAX Q standard model, except for the firmware.
