Yoshiaki Kobayashi
Kobayashi was born in Tokyo in 1969 and graduated from the Tokyo Photography College (currently the Tokyo Visual Arts College). His photography covers the range from shots of tiny natural scenes to vast landscapes, capturing the various gentle faces of nature. He relocated to Hokkaido in 2007 and has continued shooting on the themes of “Scenery of Life” and “Color of Light, Color of Wind”. His many photo exhibitions include “Color of Light, Color of Wind — Part 2” and “Scenery of Life — From the Land of North”. He has also published a collection of photos entitled “Scenery of Life — Kushiro Marshland”. He was the 2012 PENTAX Calendar photographer. He handled the photography for the PENTAX K-1 Mark II catalog and is a master at the PENTAX Dojo.
Yasushi Tanikado
After working as a company employee, Tanikado went to Canada to study skiing in 1999, then began film SLR camera photography in 2000 after encountering the northern lights for the first time. In 2003, three years after starting photography, he held his first northern lights photo exhibition at the Shinjuku Nikon Salon. He began using a digital camera on the side while shooting with a large-format 4x5 film camera.
In 2005, he began shooting panoramic photos by merging multiple digital still images.
In 2008, he became a professional photographer, graduating from film to digital, then began photographing grand landscapes of the world.
In 2017, he began 360-degree shooting with the THETA V.
In 2019, he took the stage at the THETA Z1 press release and began shooting with the new model.
His eight published works include “AURORA”, “Towns Where the Aurora Shines”, “A Photographic Tour of Grand Landscapes of the World”, “Twilight”, and “American Parks”.
His photo exhibitions have been held at the Nikon Salon, Mont Bell, Sotetsu Gallery, Narukawa Art Museum (Hakone), Ginza Mikimoto Hall, etc.
He is a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society (JPS).
Shin Yamagishi
Yamagishi is a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society and the Japan Advertising Photographers’ Association.
He is the Tokachi Tourism Ambassador. His photography encompasses a wide range of subjects focusing on portraits of actors and actresses, idol singers, and athletes, and he also works in advertising photography, gravure idol photography, photo collection, and magazine photography.
He has published over 400 photo collections and appeared on many TV programs. He continues to photograph Ban'ei horse racing, a Hokkaido Heritage, and has published collections of photography on the subject entitled “Hokkaido Heritage — Ban'ei Horse Racing” and “Banba — BAN'EI KEIBA”. He won the 2016 Photographic Society of Japan Lifetime Achievement Award.
Takuma Kimura
Kimura is a freelance photographer and videographer born in Okayama, on December 5, 1984. After working at a local advertising photography studio for 12 years, he struck out on his own in 2018. He is mainly active locally in Okayama, and continues creating works beyond “photography” including styles such as paintings and movies. He also uses a 12-meter-long monopod for super high angles and a drone for aerial photography.
He consults on TV drama photography, shoots documentary programs, and contributes to a digital camera magazine with the series “How to Photograph Famous Locales through Illustrations”.

Ichiro Murata
Murata is a mountain photographer born on March 28, 1964. After graduating from the School of Marine Science and Technology of Tokai University, he worked at an electronics manufacturer, then struck out on his own. He began actively shooting at the dawn of the digital era, unveiling his mountain and star scenery shot entitled “Mugen Kido (A Boundless Orbit)” in the April 2010 issue of “Digital Photo”, showing more star scenery photos thereafter. He concentrates his efforts on works that can only be represented digitally, utilizing the hardware and software he developed on his own. He began using PENTAX cameras with the PENTAX K-5, and currently works with the PENTAX K-1 Mark II. He has published a collection of photos entitled “Tubakuro” (monochrome). Keita Sasaki
Sasaki was born in Hyogo in 1969. He graduated from a school of photography, next working at a rented studio, then as an assistant, finally striking out on his own. He gave himself the title of “Street Corner Photographer”, and holds photo exhibitions to show his work, advocating his theory from the film era that “photos should be in monochrome, and originals should be printed”. Kazutoshi Yoshimura
Yoshimura was born in Matsumoto, Nagano in 1967.
After graduating from Tagawa High School he began working at a printing company in Tokyo. After leaving the company, he spent a year living in Canada where he made his debut as a photographer. Since then, he has traveled extensively both in Japan and internationally while based in Tokyo, engaging ambitiously in various photographic projects. He conducts intensive research on his themes over many years before publishing them as collections of photographic works. His popular landscape images are artistic in their composition, weaving wind and light together in an almost lyrical manner. His portraits of local people are also very popular because they depict the subject’s liveliness and emotions. He has put effort into writing in recent years to expand his range of expression, contributing to series of articles in magazines and newspapers, publishing essays, etc.
He won the 2003 Canadian Media Award Grand Prize, the 2007 Photographic Society of Japan Newcomer’s Award, and the 2015 Higashikawa Prize Special Award.
Takayuki Maekawa
Maekawa is an animal photographer born in Tokyo in 1969. After working at a computer-related company as an engineer, he began studying photography on his own at 26 years old. He worked as an assistant to animal photographer Kojo Tanaka since 1997, then began working as a freelance animal photographer in 2000. He is engaged in photographing the lives of wild animals in Japan, North America, Africa, Asia outside Japan, and in Central America and Oceania in recent years. His work has been shown in many forms of media including magazines, photo books, and photo exhibitions.
He won the 2008 Photographic Society of Japan Newcomer’s Award.
He also won the first Nikkei National Geographic Photo Grand Prize.
He is a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society.

Takehiko Nakafuji
Nakafuji was born in Tokyo in 1970 and dropped out of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences I of Waseda University. He later graduated from the Photography Department of Tokyo Visual Arts College.
He continues showing his photos with a focus on city snapshots and holds many personal and group exhibitions in Japan and around the world.
He won the 24th Tadahiko Hayashi Award and the 29th Higashikawa Prize Special Award. A collection of his work can be found at the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts.
His published photo books include “Night Crawler”, “STREET RAMBLER”, and “White Noise”.
Takumichi Seo
Seo was born in Kawasaki, Kanagawa on April 24, 1990.
After graduating from the Department of Environmental Design of Tama Art University, he works for S.E.O. Inc.
From a young age he was surrounded by music, nature, and other forms of design, which helped him develop a unique sensibility toward things. He uses his own photos to create designs in various advertising media such as posters and CD jackets, and creates his own background music.
He is also involved in creating music to go with his photos and plays improvisational piano pieces at his personal exhibitions.

2016:
Held the first personal exhibition in Ginza and 8 other personal exhibitions.
2017:
Opened permanent showroom “Imaging Gallery GLEAM” in Hiyoshi, Yokohama in April, then participated in “A.W.P Selection 2017: Next Generation of Photographers” at RICOH Imaging Square Ginza in September, and held 3 other personal exhibitions.
2018:
Published the Takumichi Seo first photo book “Dear Silence — Soundless Forests” and held the exhibition commemorating the publishing of his photo book at RICOH Imaging Square Shinjuku in April.
Held the same personal exhibition at RICOH Imaging Square Osaka in June, and 3 other personal exhibitions.

Toru Matsunaga
Born in Tokyo, Matsunaga was raised in the Kanto area and now lives in Osaka. He has been shooting photos since high school.
His main areas of interest these days are snapshots, live concert photography, and portraits.
