Yasutaka Tanji 1943 Born in Fukuyama, Hiroshima prefecture. 1968 Graduated from the Commercial Design Department of Tokyo designer Gakuin and began working as a freelance graphic designer. Became a photographer in 1973. 2002 Held photo exhibition "Fukei Gaten" (Landscape Exhibit) at Gallery GAN.f in Tokyo's Omotesando. 2004 Received bronze metal at the International Calendar Show in Stuttgart, Germany for Yasutaka Tanji Collection "Miyabi no Kokoro". Held photo exhibition "Nihon no Bikei" (Japanese Beautiful Scenery) at Wako Hall in Tokyo's Ginza. 2005 Held the Yasutaka Tanji Exhibition "Wa no koukei"(Glorious Scene in Japan) at Sogo Yokohama Art Gallery. Received Grand-Prix Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for the Yasutaka Tanji Collection "Miyabi no Kokoro" at the 56th National Calendar Exhibition. Received bronze metal at the International Calendar Show. 2007 Received Grand-Prix Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for the collection "FORM" at the 58th National Calendar Exhibition.
