RICOH PX FAQs - By Product
[Question] Is the RICOH PX compatible with an AV cable for other Ricoh digital cameras ?
The supplied AV cable for the CX5 can be used for the RICOH PX.
But the one for most of previous Ricoh digital cameras cannot be used. This is due to the difference on the AV terminal shape on the camera.
Also, the AV cable for the RICOH PX cannot be used for other Ricoh digital cameras (except for the CX5).
The RICOH PX has two terminals for viewing pictures on a television. For the details on the terminals and cables, see the figure and chart below.
Terminal on the camera | Specific cable | Usage |
---|---|---|
Common Terminal for USB port / AV output | Supplied AV cable | To connect with AV terminals on a television |
HDMI Micro Output Terminal (Type D) | Optional HDMI cable (HC-1) |
To connect with an HDMI terminal on a television |
It can result in malfunction if using the other cables, or connecting a wrong terminal on the camera.
