[Question] Is there any way to charge the battery while putting the battery in the camera ?
Yes.
The DB-100 battery is chargeable while putting in the camera. There are 2 ways for charging; from a USB port in a computer, or from a power outlet.
Charging from a USB port in a computer
This way is to charge by connecting the camera and a computer using the supplied USB cable.
Charging time *1 : approx. 240 minutes (25 °C)
How to charge the battery from a USB port in a computer.
Charging from a power outlet
This way is to charge from a power outlet by using the supplied USB cable, power adapter with plug. Charging will begin automatically when plugging in a power outlet.
Charging time *1 : approx. 160 minutes (25 °C)
How to charge the battery from a power outlet.
[Charging with the optional battery charger]
Other than the ways above, you can charge the battery with the optional battery charger (BJ-10). Charging time will be approx. 180 minutes (25 °C).
