[Question] Details on the [Full Press Snap].

When the [Full Press Snap] feature is enabled, the camera will perform as follows;
- If you press the shutter release half way, the AF feature of the camera will work.
- But, when you fully press the shutter release button at once, the camera will take a picture with a configured distance without AF work.

Full Press Snap

With this feature, you will not miss a shutter chance, since the camera will not do focusing when you fully press the shutter release button.

Camera works with the following conditions;
- In the [Full Press Snap] in the Shooting menu, choose other than [OFF]
- In the [Focus] setting in the Shooting menu, choose [Multi-AF] or [Spot AF]
- Set an item in the [Snap Focus Distance] *1
With the above settings, the camera will focus the distance configured in the [Snap Focus Distance] at full-press.

[Full Press Snap options]

Options Description
OFF The camera focuses normally.
ON At the full-press, the camera automatically focuses the distance that is configured in the [Snap Focus Distance].
ON (ISO AUTO HI) At the full-press, the camera automatically focuses the distance that is configured in the [Snap Focus Distance]. But the ISO sensitivity will become [AUTO-HI] automatically, not the ISO sensitivity value that has been configured in the [ISO Setting].

[Snap Focus Distance] settings

This setting can be set in the Shooting menu, but you can also set this with the following methods; keep pressing the Macro button button, and turn the Up-down dial.

With pressing the Up arrow button and turn the Up-down dial.

[Note]
    • The Full press snap is not available when the focus mode is set to either [MF], [Snap] or [infinity ∞].
    • The Full press snap is not available at macro photographing.
    • Be careful of camera shake especially at the Full press snap.
[Memo]
    • Even if the Full press snap is ON, if you press the shutter release button half way, the AF will work to focus the subject.
