[Question] Can I export a specific frame from an MP file into a still image?

You can extract specific frames from an MP file shot using M-Cont Plus and save each frame as an individual still image.

  • The individual images in an MP file cannot be deleted separately.
  • The original files will be retained after exportation.

Use the following method to export MP files.

  • 1Press the playback button and go to the Playback mode.

    1 Press the playback button.

  • 2Use [Fn1], [Fn2], [+] or [-] buttons (Directional pad) to display the MP file you want to export.
    The symbol with red frames in the figure below is for MP files.

    2 Press the [ADJ./OK] button up and down and to the left and right to display the MP file you want to export.

  • 3Press the [MENU/OK] button. The playback menu appears.

    Press the [MENU/OK] button.

    Press [+] [-] buttons to select [Export Still Images]. In order to move to the next page in the menu, press [-] button down at the last bottom item, or just press [-] button while pressing and holding the [DIRECT] button.

    Choose [Export Still Images] in the Playback menu.

  • 4Press the [Fn2] button.
    Choose an option from [1 Frame] [Sel Mult] or [All Frames] using [+] [-] buttons.

  • 5[Selecting 1 Frame]
    Press [+] [-] buttons to choose [1 Frame] option, press the [MENU/OK] button. Display the frame for exporting using [Fn1] [Fn2] buttons, and then press the [MENU/OK] button.
    [Selecting multi frames]
    Press [+] [-] buttons to choose [Sel Multi] option, press the [MENU/OK] button. Choose [Sel. Indiv.] or [Sel. Range] using [Fn1] [Fn2] buttons, and then press the [MENU/OK] button.

    5 Press the [ADJ./OK] button up and down to select [1 Frame]. Press the [ADJ./OK] button to the right and left to select the frame that you want to save as a still image.

    • If you have selected [Sel. Indiv.]
      Press the [+] [-] [Fn1] [Fn2] buttons (Directional pad) to select the frames that you want to save as still images, and press the [MENU/OK] button to select each frame at a time.
      If you make a mistake when selecting a frame, you can cancel it by pressing the [MENU/OK] button again.
      Use this procedure to specify all frames that you want to turn into still images. A symbol appears on each selected image. (See the symbols with red borders below)

      After selections, press Macro/OK button, and choose [Yes] with the [Fn2] button, and then press the [MENU/OK] button.
    • If you have selected [Sel. Range]
      Press the [+] [-] [Fn1], or [Fn2] buttons to select the starting point for the range of frames you want to specify, and press the [MENU/OK] button. If you make a mistake when selecting, pressing the DISP. button will return to the starting frame selection screen, or pressing the ADJ. button will switch to the selection individually.

      If you have selected [Sel. Range]

      The starting frame will be displayed with white borders.
      After selecting the starting frame, move to the end point for the range of frames you want to specify. Press the MENU/OK button again. If you make a mistake of selection, press the DISP. button to cancel it.

      After the range selections, pressMacro/OKbutton, and press [Fn2] button to select YES, then press the MENU/OK button.

  • [Selecting all frames]
    Press the [+] [-] [Fn1], or [Fn2] buttons to select [All Frames] and press the [MENU/OK] button, and press [Fn2] button to select YES, and then press the MENU/OK button.
