[Question] How do I set picture quality and color? (Image Settings)

You can change the picture quality of an image (including the contrast, sharpness, color and vividness).

You can select from the following 5 types of picture quality.


Available Picture Quality Modes
Symbol Type Description
Vivid Vivid Take strong, vivid photos with higher contrast and sharpness and maximum vividness.
-- Standard Creates an image with normal picture quality.
Custom settings Cust. Settings You can select from five [Contrast], [Sharpness] and [Vividness] levels.
Black & White Black & White Creates a black and white picture.
Sepia Sepia Creates a sepia-toned picture.
  • *With [Standard], no symbol is shown in the picture display.
The Image Settings options are located in the Shooting menu. See the FAQ below for the Shooting menu operations.

In the Shooting menu, choose [Image Settings], and then press the [ADJ./OK] button to the right Right (Flash) .

Image settings options are displayed. Choose an option with the [ADJ./OK] button to up or down, and then press the [ADJ./OK] button to the right Left (Macro) .
   
  • *[Custom Settings]: When [Cust. Settings] is selected, values (contrast, sharpness, and vividness) that have been configured with the screen below are applied.
    If you have not yet configured, adjust them.
    select [Image Settings]
    Choose an option from [Contrast], [Sharpness], or [Vividness] with pressing the [ADJ./OK] button up or down Up or down, and then move a cursor by pressing the [ADJ./OK] button to the right or left Right-left.

  • *[Dynamic Range Double Shot mode]: [Color], [Black & White], and [Sepia] can be selected In Dynamic range double-shot mode. (The default setting is [Color].)
