[Question] How do I playback MP files?

With the M-Cont Plus, Speed Cont, or Multi-targer AF, captured images per a single shooting are recored as one MP file.
    • Images shot in normal Continuous mode can be played back in the same way as normal still images.
    • The focus position is displayed for Multi-target AF shooting.
Use the following method to playback MP files.
1 Press the playback button.

The most recently shot file is displayed. If this is a movie file, the first frame of the movie is displayed as a still image.


2 Press the [ADJ./OK] button Up, down, right or left to display the MP file you want to playback.

3 The procedures for changing the display are shown below.

Press the [DISP.] button to change between "Normal" and "No Display".
The images cannot be enlarged even if you turn the zoom lever to the right Enalrged view (Enlarged View). The images are displayed in thumbnail view.
The other operations are the same as those for normal still images.

Turn the zoom lever right Enalrged view (Enlarged View) to display individual frames in the thumbnail view.

Individual frames in the MP file are displayed in thumbnail view.
Press the [ADJ./OK] button Up, down, right or left to select a frame.
Turn the zoom lever to the right
Enalrged view (Enlarged View) to switch to the single image view.
The [DISP.] button is disabled.
   
  [Slide Show]
Press the [ADJ./OK] button to start the slide show.
Images are displayed automatically in the order they were consecutively shot, starting with the displayed frame.

Operations during the slide show are shown below.

Pause/Playback Press the [ADJ./OK] button.
Fast Forward Turn and hold the zoom lever to the right during playback.
Rewind Turn and hold the zoom lever to the left during playback.
Slow Playback Turn and hold the zoom lever to the right during pause.
Slow Rewind Turn and hold the zoom lever to the left during pause.
Next Frame Turn the zoom lever to the right during pause.
Previous Frame Turn the zoom lever to the left during pause.
First Frame Press the [ADJ./OK] button to the left Left (Macro) .
Last Frame Press the [ADJ./OK] button to the right Right (Flash) .

   
4 To play back files other than MP files, turn and hold the zoom lever left Thumbnail view (Thumbnail view), and return to the step 1 above. And then press the [ADJ./OK] button Up, down, right or left.
The methods after that are same as the normal playback operations.
   
The [DPOF], [Trim], [Resize], [Skew Correction] (playback mode), [Level Compensation], and [White Balance Compensation] functions are not available for MP files.
[Flag Function Setting] and [Protect] cannot be set for individual frames in an MP file. If [Flag Function Setting] or [Protect] is set when the thumbnail view or single image view is displayed, the setting will be applied to the MP file instead of an individual frame.
The individual images in an MP file cannot be deleted separately.
