[Question] About the S mode (S: Shutter Priority mode).

Turning the mode dial to [S] (Shutter Speed Priority mode) allows to adjust a shutter speed manually. When you set the shutter speed, the camera automatically selects the appropriate aperture value for that speed.

* The shutter speed
  Making the shutter speed faster will capture a moment like having the fast-moving subject stop. Or making the shutter speed slower will capture a trail of moving subject, which will be able to create the scene in fluid motion.

Operating procedure

The procedures for shooting with shutter speed priority are shown below.

1. Turn the mode dial to [S]. The shutter speed symbol appears on the picture display and the current shutter speed is displayed in orange.

2. Turn the Up-down dial to change the shutter speed.

3. Press the shutter release button halfway. The aperture is selected and displayed on the screen.

4. Gently press the shutter release button the rest of the way down to shoot.

  You can select from the following shutter speeds (in seconds).
 
1 - 1/2000 1.3 1.6 2
2.5 3.2 4 5 6 8
