  • *6)30/15 fps : You can choose either 30 frames or 15 frames per a second.
  • *7)The camera will do preliminaries on focus, corresponding with changes on the subject, even if you will not yet press the shutter release half way. For the details on the [Pre-AF], see the following FAQ.

  • *8)If you press the shutter release half way, the AF feature will work, but if you fully press the shutter release button at once, the camera will take a picture with a configured distance without AF work. For the details on the [Full Press Snap], see the following FAQ.

  • *9)For scenes with both sunlight and shadow, the camera automatically selects the optimal white balance to fit the light source of each segregated area of image. For the details on the [Full Press Snap], see the following FAQ.

  • *10)This is the option to set the upper limit of the ISO sensitivity. Yo can choose from ISO 200, ISO 400, ISO 800, or ISO 1600. Comparing with the AUTO, the shutter speed will become faster in a dark scene, which will reduce camera shake or blurring subject.
  • *11)This is the option to choose the flash synchro timing from either [1st Curtain] or [2nd Curtain]. For the details on the [Flash Synchro Settings], see the following FAQ.


  • *14)Auto resize zoom works with the maximum image size only.
  • *15)This is the option to display shooting icons in a frame surrounding the view through the lens.
  • *16)This is the option to display shooting information in the picture display when the picture display is off.

[PC connections]

When you connect a camera to a computer:

Only the USB connection is available. Serial connection is not supported.
It is required a computer that is pre-installed with a supported OS version in the following chart, and that has a USB port as standard.
The installation CD that comes with a camera contains the software for Windows only. For Macintosh, no software from Ricoh is required to download pictures. See the FAQ here for the details.
