[Question] How do I adjust the light intensity of the flash (Flash exposure compensation)?

You can set the light intensity from -2.0 EV to +2.0 EV in increments of 1/3 EV.

The procedures for this setting are shown below.

  • 1 Turn the mode dial to a shooting mode.
  • Turn the mode dial to a shooting mode.

  • 2 Press the [MENU] button to display the shooting menu.
  • Press the [MENU] button to display the shooting menu.

  • 3 Press the [ADJ./OK] button Down to select [Flash Exposure Compensation], and press the button Right.
  • Press the [ADJ./OK] button down to select [Flash Exposure Compensation], and press the button to the right.
  • Press the [ADJ./OK] button down to select [Flash Exposure Compensation], and press the button to the right.

  • 4 The flash exposure compensation bar appears.
  • The flash exposure compensation bar appears.
  • Press the [ADJ./OK] button Up Down to make the setting.

  • 5 Press the [ADJ./OK] button.
    The setting appears on the screen, except when the flash mode has been set to [Flash Off].
  • The setting appears on the screen, except when the flash mode has been set to [Flash Off].

[Caution]
Flash exposure compensation may not work outside the flash range.
