[Question] How do I set picture quality and color? (Image Settings)


You can change the picture quality of an image (including the contrast, sharpness, color and vividness).

You can select from the following 5 types of picture quality.


Available Picture Quality Modes
Type Description
Vivid Take strong, vivid photos with higher contrast and sharpness and maximum vividness.
Standard Creates an image with normal picture quality.
Cust. Settings You can select from five [Contrast], [Sharpness] and [Vividness] levels.
Black & White Creates a black and white picture.
Sepia Creates a sepia-toned picture.

The procedures for changing the image settings are shown below.

1 Turn the mode dial to a shooting mode.

2 Press the [MENU] button to display the shooting menu.
  Press the [MENU] button to display the shooting menu.
   
3 Press the [ADJ./OK] button Down to select [Image Settings], and then press the [ADJ./OK] button Right .

4 The types of image settings are displayed. Press the [ADJ./OK] button Down to select the desired setting.

If the values for [Cust. Settings] have already been set, you can set the picture quality by simply selecting [Cust. Settings] and pressing the [ADJ./OK] button.

If the values have not been set, you can set them now.

Press the [ADJ./OK] button Up Down to select [Contrast], [Sharpness] and [Color Depth], and then press the [ADJ./OK] button Left Right to adjust the settings.
   
5 Press the [ADJ./OK] button.
The symbol appears on the screen if you have selected anything other than [Normal].
   
  • * [Color], [Black & White], and [Sepia] can be selected In Dynamic range double-shot mode. (The default setting is [Color].)
