  • *b1) In normal shooting mode, the camera takes a picture with optimal settings according to a situation.
  • *b2) CX5 - Multi-trgt AF: Camera automatically determines multiple focus positions and takes consecutive pictures at one shutter release(5 frames at once). These multiple frames are recorded as a single MP file.
  • *b3) Pre-AF: The camera will do preliminaries on focus, corresponding with changes on the subject, even if you will not yet press the shutter release half way.
  • *b4) Subject Tracking AF: The camera will track the subject while the shutter release button is pressed halfway. You can take a picture in focus by pressing the shutter release button all the way.

  • *b6) Camera automatically selects the optimal white balance according to the conditions of sun and shade or the flash illumination range.
  • *b7) With the RICOH PX, [Black & White] and [Sepia] are available in the Premium shot modes.
  • *b9) Camera takes multiple pictures continuously while you are pressing a shutter release button. The maximum number of images that can be shot in continuous mode is 999.

  • *b10) M-Cont (Memory reversal continuous) : The camera takes pictures while the shutter release button is pressed, but only the last 16 frames (about 2 seconds) are recorded into a single JPEG file.
  • *b11) M-Cont Plus (ex. [10M]) : The camera takes pictures while the shutter release button is pressed, but only the last 15 frames at the maximum (about 3 seconds at minimum) are recorded into a single MP file.
  • *b12) [Group portrait] : If this option is selected, the camera will take two pictures at 5 seconds interval. The self-timer lamp will blink for 2 seconds immediately before each shot. Focus is fixed at the position selected for the first shot.

  • *b14) It will perform noise reduction when taking a still image. With the RICOH PX, noise reduction always works and no option is available.
  • *b22) AF Continuous shoot mode : This mode takes pictures continuously while pressing the shutter release button. The focus is adjusted picture by picture.

  • *c1) fps stands for frames per second.
  • *c2) Movie dividing while shooting : Pressing the Fn button while shooting movies will divide movie at that point and continue recording as another movie file. This separation with the Fn button can be operated 10 times at the maximum per a movie shooting.
  • *c3) Movie dividing after recording : This function can divide from one movie file into several movie files in the Playback mode.
