CX6 : How do I set step zooming ?

Step zooming allows you to move a zoom position to a fixed step quickly as follows.

[Optical zoom] in 8 levels (equivalent to *1: 28, 35, 50, 85, 105, 135, 200, 300 mm)
[Super Resolution zoom] in 2 levels (equivalent to *1: 450, 600 mm)
*1: Equivalent to that on 35 mm film cameras

The default setting is [OFF].
Step zoom options are available in the Setup menu.

In the Setup menu, push the [ADJ./OK] button Up or down to select [Step Zoom], and then push the [ADJ./OK] button Right (Flash).

Push the [ADJ./OK] button Up Down to select [On], and then press the [ADJ./OK] button to confirm the setting.

Memo [Memo]
  • In Macro mode, the step zoom focal lengths are roughly equivalent to 31, 35, 50, 85, 105, 135, 200, or 300 mm on 35 mm film cameras.
  • Assigning [Step Zoom] to the Fn (Function) button with [Set Fn Button] allows you to toggle the step zoom on and off by pressing the Fn button.
