CX6 : What is [Flag function] ? / About the Flag function setting.

You can assign image files to [Flag Function Setting], and then press the Fn (Function) button during playback to easily display these files whenever you like.

This is useful if you want to assign images such as train timetables or maps that you shot during your trip for immediate recall. You can assign up to 20 files to [Flag Function Settings].

Operating procedure for Flag function assigning / canceling

  • 1Press the playback button.

  • 2Press the [ADJ./OK] buttonUp, down, right or left to display the file you want to assign or cancel, and press the [MENU] button.

    To assign multiple files at the same time, turn the zoom lever to the left (Thumbnail View) to display the list of the files that are on your camera. Press the [ADJ./OK] buttonUp, down, right or left to select the first file you want to assign or cancel, and press the [MENU] button.

  • 3The playback menu appears. Press the [ADJ./OK] button Down to select [Flag Function Setting], and press the buttonRight (Flash).

  • 4The [Flag Function Setting] screen appears. If you want to assign a file, check that [Set] is selected, and press the [ADJ./OK] button.

    If you want to cancel a file, check that [Deselect] is selected, and press the [ADJ./OK] button.

    • When a file has been assigned, the symbol appears on the screen.
    • If 20 files have been assigned, no more files can be assigned.

  • 5If you have displayed Thumbnail View in Step 2, press the [ADJ./OK] button Up, down, right or left to select the other files you want to assign from the list, and press the [ADJ./OK] button.
    When a file has been assigned, the symbol appears on the screen. You can assign up to twenty files.
    When a file has been assigned, the symbol appears on the screen.
    To cancel files, press the [ADJ./OK] button Up, down, right or left to select the files you want to cancel, and press the [ADJ./OK] button.
    Press the [DISP.] button when the files have been assigned or canceled.

Caution
  • If the name of the file assigned to [Flag Function Setting] is changed using a computer, the file is canceled from [Flag Function Setting].
  • When the contents of the internal memory are copied to an SD memory card, the files assigned to [Flag Function Setting] in the internal memory are canceled.
  • When a file in an SD memory card is assigned to [Flag Function Setting], the [CLIPINFO] folder and CLIP.CLI file are created on the SD memory card. If these are deleted, the corresponding file is canceled from [Flag Function Setting].
  • If the name of an image file is changed using a computer, the file may not be able to be assigned to [Flag Function Setting].
  • Only images taken using this camera can be assigned to [Flag Function Setting].
