The K20D package includes PENTAX PHOTO Laboratory™ 3 RAW data development and image processing software. Featuring the acclaimed SILKYPIX as its image-development engine, this versatile software assures high-speed data development. Beginning with the latest version (3.50), it is also compatible with custom-image functions. Coupled with conventional image-editing functions (such as white balance, tone, sensitivity, saturation and sharpness), image-by-image noise-reduction function and lens-aberration compensation function, it assures greater flexibility in image editing. As a result, you can edit the image exactly the way you want it, while adding a greater range of creative and artistic touches. In all, this software lets you optimize your photographic creativity via simple mouse operation.

Multi-function image browser software facilitates the filing of images and photographic data

The PENTAX PHOTO Browser™ 3 software lets you speedily transfer images captured by the K20D to your personal computer, clearly view them on the computer screen, and flawlessly file their image data on the computer. Thanks to its exceptional display speed, you can view and file a large number of images with great efficiency. It also offers a host of user-friendly functions, including image zooming (from 1/16-times to four-times magnifications), image rotation, photographic-data display, RAW-data format conversion* and filing, and printer function settings. The latest version (3.50) also offers better operability than previous versions, assuring faster access to network folders, speedier file search, and higher image quality with size-reduced images.

Functional communication software offers remote camera control and remote setting of custom functions from the PC

This software lets you remotely control camera operations from your PC, by connecting it to the K20D’s USB terminal. In addition to direct filing of recorded images to your PC’s hard disk drive, it also lets you change the camera’s USER position and custom-function settings from a distance. You can even save several different sets of camera settings on the PC, with each set assigned to a specific photographic theme. Packed with convenient, user-friendly features, this software adds a new dimension to your photographic experience.

Direct printing

Using the included USB cable, you can connect the K20D directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer for PC-free printing. Since the K20D can develop RAW-format images by itself, you can even print high-quality images without the help of a personal computer.

Image viewing on TV

Simply by connecting the K20D to a TV monitor equipped with a video input terminal using the included video cable, you can enjoy recorded images on a large TV screen with your family or friends.
